Simple push-ups can actually tone your triceps. Well, not quite average. Instead of the traditional style, a nice angle at roughly 45 degrees with your palms is much better practice. This exercise is extremely effective.

The best way to avoid injury when walking for exercise is to you proper form. Keep your back straight, with your shoulders back. Your elbows should then be positioned at around a 90-degree angle. Be sure that your arms are opposite your forward foot. You should walk heel first with the remainder of the foot rolling forward with each step.

Wall sits are great for building up your quad muscles and improving leg strength. Find a wide enough space on the wall that fits your body. Maintain a distance of a foot and a half, turned away from the wall. While bending your knees, lean back until you touch the wall with your entire back. Continue to squat until your thighs are level to the floor and you reach a sitting stance. Do not move from this position until you can not handle it anymore.

These tips can help you make exercise a regular part of your day. Remember that fitness should be an enjoyable, regular habit instead of a tedious chore. Changing your lifestyle and working towards a better physique will provide you with more energy and help you live a longer, happier life.
